Ridiculous cost to change a booking
On 1 April 2015, I booked a return flight from CPT to JHB. The total cost was R1,240.84. This morning I tried to change the one flight (CPT to JHB) from 14 May to 13 May. The online service said that the new flight was conflicting with the exisiting itinerary. I then called the call centre who quoted me a total of R1,449 just for the change. This included a R342 charge fee with the balance being \the movement in the price of the flight". I said that this is imposisble given that I can buy the ticket for the 13 May for R879 if I start a new booking. The reason then was explained to me as this- I had booked a class J ticket and given this"

As explained to you by the contact centre agent, the amount quoted depends on the fare class available at the time of booking change.
