Rebook failure

Very unhappy. I had flights for last year in March. This got cancelled due to Covid. I was told I could rebook the flights. I have been trying all day. And the sad thing is, I paid about R11k for the flight ticket for my family and I. To get this rebooked they are making up some excuse around base fare prices. And are wanting me to pay in R10500.
