R400 for a car seat under 3kg!
I was unable to fly home worth my wife and child and had to take a later flight. To help my wife, who had to struggle with a post op infant and all that an infant requires I took the suitcase and car seat with me. And was charged R400. No interest in appreciating my situation. I understand their rules but feel it really unreasonable to want R400 for such a small (and very light!) addition, given that my wife flew with an infant without a car seat! Come on, Kulula

Thank you for your post.
Although I can understand your frustration considering the car seat and the reason why you took the suitcase and car seat with you, the check-in agent must apply the rule in order to create consistency as our passengers will then complaint about inconsistent application of the rule.
A suggestion for future travel is to contact the kulula.com Contact Centre (***) requesting for an extra bag where the amount will be less.
Regards.
David
