NO NAME CHANGE ALLOWED
Why on earth can't you do any Name Changes to Kulula Flights?!?!?!
They absolutely refuse - as stated in their terms.
You are not cancelling the flight, still using the ticket, it is just the passenger who is changing.
Regardless of being a very regular flyer - for which no Kulula Moolah is granted either anymore.
No you just have to make peace with the fact that you are either going to loose your money or need to change the flight - still for the same passenger.
You also don't have the option to cancel all flights. Flights for Thursday 26 March cannot be cancelled, although I have the option to cancel the return flights on the following Monday, 30 March.
Ridiculous!!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us.
Our customers are required to insert their legal names when making a booking, as it is an (IATA) International Air Transport Association requirement. When one makes a booking online, it does notify the booker to insert the correct legal name of the customers. It does also state in the terms and conditions, which you agreed to before confirming the booking that name changes are not allowed. We moved over to a new system in 2012 which does not have the name change facility as we did in the past and therefore we have stopped this practice.
When a booking is confirmed and paid for, we cannot reverse the charges unfortunately. Customers are advised to rebook for alternative dates in order not to forfeit the booking. If the customer cannot travel, the applicable penalties will apply when cancelling.
As kulula.com is a low cost carrier, these rules have been implemented. With full service carriers, the fares are higher which allow for more flexibility.
Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to explain.
Yours Sincerely,
Nazley
