New ticket is R826 but a change is R1198!!!

We booked a return ticket on [URL Removed] jhb to George. We now need to change the return leg of this booking. This leg costed R900 plus R288 in taxes.<br> I tried to change it to a flight currently available on [URL Removed] for R826 including taxes.<br> While i am hsppy ro pay the change fee i am now told the taxes I have to pay in is R1158! How on earth is the taxes I have to pay in more than the whole new ticket including taxes. Serious maths error or just a rippoff? <br> No one I speak to see the maths error in this calculation. I foresee that I will loose this ticket in totality due to incompetence to sort this out before the flight which is in 2 days.
