Luggage was nearly ruined

I was unfortunate to have traveled during the recent thunder storms in Johannesburg.
I cannot blame the airline for the weather and the handled it pretty well.

However, when i arrived at my destination, the content of my luggage was complete wet. I assume my luggage was left out in the rain for far too long. I had to purchase additional clothing as none of the content was wearable.

To me, this shows lack of caring to their clients belongings.

Hello chilledguy,

Thank you for taking the time to advise us of your dissatisfaction with regards to the wet clothing .

As you correctly mentioned , Johannesburg had experienced very bad weather conditions on the day and as the porters had manually loaded the aircraft, therefore the bags on the trolley had gotten soaked . The trolleys do have covers on but these are only pulled over once the trolleys are loaded in the ba*****t and ready to be taken to the aircraft . Once at the aircraft , the covers are pulled away and the holds are loaded accordingly .

However, with the above being said we do understand your frustration as you would expect to receive your bag in the same condition in which you had handed it in. We do try to meet these expectations but are unable to when acts of nature interrupt.

We wish to thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, as customer feedback is essential in our efforts to uphold our standards of excellence and efficiency in customer care. Although we have failed to meet your expectations on this occasion, we hope to welcome you onboard again in the near future.

Bye for now .
