LAPTOP ****** FROM FLIGHT MN902

I am extremely disappointed with KULULA. I was on flight MN 902 from George to Johannesburg yesterday (landed at 19h00), sitting in seat 16D. I had been using my laptop during the flight, and put it in the pouch behind the seat in front of me. My laptop is very small, and did not stick out of the pouch when I placed it in there, so was very inconspicuous.

When we landed, I completely forgot about my laptop and left the plane. As I got out of the security area, in the baggage pickup area, I realised my laptop case didn't have my laptop. As I wasn't allowed back onto the plane, I went straight to the Kulula helpdesk to ask them to get my laptop for me from my seat. I STRESSED TO THEM that TIME WAS OF THE ESSENCE, as we know how easily and quickly things go "walking" if left unattended. The lady was relatively helpful, but there was hardly any urgency in her assistance, and then SHE PREPPED ME THAT I WOULD PROBABLY NOT SEE MY LAPTOP AGAIN!!!!! What kind of culture is that at KULULA???? The expectation is that the laptop won't be there TEN MINUTES AFTER IT HAS BEEN LEFT THERE??? Needless to say, the lady who checked my seat said that she 'couldn't see anything', and the cleaners had 'not seen anything' either.

I understand that there are a few options / possibilities as to what could have happened, but with my laptop not sticking out of the pouch (not easy to see at all), and everyone leaving the plane within seconds of me leaving (row 17 backwards leaves out the back, and row 16 forwards leaves out the front, SO ALMOST NO PASSENGERS WOULD HAVE PASSED MY SEAT!!!!!!!!!), the possibility of it being a passenger is a LOT LESS LIKELY than a KULULA employee whose TASK IT IS TO CHECK EVERY SEAT AND EVERY POUCH BETWEEN EVERY FLIGHT.

I admit that this was not the brightest thing to do, but you would expect a company to have systems in place to minimise the effect of small mistakes like this, on their customers. Needless to say, the supervisor on duty was very rude and accused me of being the one fully responsible. Yes, why would anyone expect a company to train their staff in being ethical, and have systems in place to minimise *****ing. A friend of mine was an air hostess on a low cost airline in SA, and she said that the air stewards had to make sure they locked up their valuables all of the time, because of *****ing from their colleagues. This is a sick culture to have in a company, and the fact that there are no cameras onboard to mitigate these issues, is ridiculous.
