kulula.com shocking service
I flew with kulula on Friday 13 December 2019 from Johannesburg to Durban and this definitely has nothing to do with Friday the 13th. We were a party of 4 and checked out luggage in. The bags were all locked and I also put cable ties on the bags. Arrived in Durban just before midnight. Grabbed our luggage and made our way to Amanzimtoti. Next morning when opening my bag, I realised that it had been broken into. The lock had been broken, cable tie cut and the locking mechanism on the bag hacksawed. What lengths were taken and this person seemed to have enough time to do all this. I hade purchased a 200ml bottle of perfume in Germany a few months ago and this was ****** from my bag. Nothing else was ****** but what irks me is the fact that someone with their gritty paws went through my bag and probably got their paws on all my clothes. Word to kulula, if you say that this is the work of an external company and there is nothing that you can do about controlling this, then please make sure that these ******* use gloves on their hands before rummaging through our belongings. Another thing, be creative and find a way to have bags put in by your customers directly where they are transported onto the plane without any need for intervention by these *******. At the end of the day, kulula is saying that they could re-imburse me $20 per KG for a perfume that I paid R1500 and still believe that saying sorry is sufficient. Get real guys.
