Kulula *****s

What started out as great holiday, ended on a sour note, thanks to Kulula and their bad cutomer service.

I flew in from CTN to JHB ORT on Sunday night 05/06/2016 last night (20.50 depart CTN) on flight MN132.

Whilst I was collecting my baggage, I realized that I had left a packet on the overhead compartment. This was atleast 10minutes since disembarking the plane.

I then went to the Kulula baggage office counter and immediately reported this to the lady Tshidi who was on duty at the time. She then called on the 2-way radio an spoke to the cleaning crew on board who informed her that it was found and given to one of the cabin crew. Tshidi tried getting hold of the operations cabin crew but they were not answering. Tshidi then went on to say that the cabin crew will have to log this in and I must try in the morning as it was possible that they all left for the night. But she did say that she will call me at 13.00 the next day (which did not happen).

I called her at 2pm on Monday and she still had not located my packet or contacted the crew that were on duty.

I then sent an email to the customer relations department who said they have escalated to the Airports manager and an agent will be in contact with me (no contact made as yet)

Tshidi called me today, 07/06, only to say that the packet was found that day but instead of anyone logging it in or reporting it to the baggage control (as per policy), it was left on the seat!!!!

So it has been established that my packet was not taken by another passenger, but by the cabin or cleaning crew.

The cost of the items in the packet is R700.00, is Kulula going to refund me my money or find my packet.

Thank you for your post.
I have forward your post to our Baggage Department (OR Tambo International Airport) in order to follow up on your packet.
