Kulula refuses to accomodate cancer patient
My dad has stage 4 cancer and has taken a turn for the worse. My parents recently moved in with my sis in Jhb but are from Dbn. I booked return flight tickets for them to travel to Dbn for a weekend visit in Sept. However my dad's condition has suddenly worsened and his wish is come back home immediately. I called Kulula to change to an immediate urgent flight for them. They did this & waived they change fee due to the circumstances. My husband needs to fly to Jhb and bring their vehicle with their belongings down and I asked Kulula to change the ticket to his name acknowledging the that one ticket will not be refundable. Kulula refused to change the name on the booking as it is not their policy. Now I have lost payment on parents return tickets + I must pay to book my husbands flight. I want Kulula to advise why their airline does not take special circumstances into account if the traveller produces proof of unforeseen and sad circumstances. How can Kulula profit of other people sorrows and tragedy? This is shocking treatment of consumers and apparently the Consumer Protection Act is of no help as well.
