Kulula inconsiderate to children

I have just arrived from Lanseria airport and was bitterly upset today. Kulula service is beyond pathetic. My daughter, her 3 kids and my young 15 year old son were travelling from Lanseria to Durban on Flight MN 503 . My son was to return tomorrow on a late afternoon flight. Kulula staff treated us most unjustly. We lost 6 tickets and my daughter, grandchildren and son were pulled off the flight after having been seated on the plane. The pilot who promised if they got off, would be reimbursed, ****.The reason they were pulled off the flight was simply because the baby who had already had chicken pox had a few dry scabs on his face. No one was at risk of catching any virus. When this was mentioned to the pilot he insisted a doctor's letter was needed to inform them that the child was well enough to travel, despite the fact that he could clearly see the baby was in excellent health and smiling. To add to their distress the pilot mentioned to all the passengers that he wouldn't mention why my children and grandchildren were taken off the flight, except that they were a risk on this flight. What was that meant to imply? How inconsiderate was he. A crew member pleaded with the pilot to allow them to continue on the flight as the baby was in good health.

My daughter asked for assurance that they wouldn't lose their flights, the pilot hurriedly assured them that they would be reimbursed and tried to get them off, insisting that they were delaying the flight. They decided to call a Dr to speak to the pilot on the mobile phone but he refused and had them escorted by an entourage! Off onto the tarmac and rain . With 3 kids , all under 6 !!. My daughter, son and 3 little kids, one a 9 month old baby, waited for this flight from 6:00 pm and even though the flight was delayed twice, were patient despite the fact that they were by then getting tired.

When they were escorted back into the airport they asked at the Kulula desk about the flights or rather a reimbur*****t and were told we would have to pay another R430 per ticket for it to be reissued. In other words we were now to pay the price of 12 tickets!!!!

The shameless 'Justice Masithi' ( who incidentally has the most inappropriate name) made himself scarce and wouldn't help us although he supposed to be a manager at the Kulula desk. Kulula staff kept on only mentioning 'Our Policy' 'Our Policy'. Have you at Kulula never heard of customer service?? You cancelled our 6 tickets, refuse to refund us , refuse to help us and leave us with little children who were in tears, and terrified at been taken off the airplane in the rain and dark. Shame on you Kulula and shame on your staff!! We left the airport and returned back to our home, an hours drive, back in pouring rain, at 11:00 pm!! Kulula needs to reimburse us for all the trouble, exhaustion, embarrassment and inconsideration they exposed us to.
