Kulula Flight Delay & Lack of Bus Service at 23:30
My mum & nephew boarded the Kulula flight on 15th June at 23:30, which had a 33 minutes delay. Kulua flights are mostly delayed when compared to other airlines. Further to the delay inconvenience, my mum & nephew had to walk a distance from the aircraft to arrivals. At 23:30, it was dark & freezing. My mum has varicose veins & her legs is now troubling her from walking in the cold. Usually a bus is available to transport passengers from the aircraft to arrivals.
The response that I got from Kulula Customer Service is as below:
"I have been advised by Operations that the aircraft which operated Mrs. Sathoo’s flight did not require a bus to transport passengers to the terminal . This aircraft which operated the flight was parked at an airbridge which did not require a bus"
If there was an airbridge, then why did my mum & nephew had to walk in the cold?
The response that I got from Kulula Customer Service is as below: "The airbridge is connected to a shute and there is no way passengers are exposed to the elements. Please note that we do not have a choice or control where our aircrafts park at the airport and this is controlled by ATC (Air Traffic Control). You are welcome to request to view camera footage from ACSA for the day and time when your mom and nephew travelled with us to verify the information I have supp****'.
So dear public, please note that the late hour flights don't always have a bus available to transport passengers from the aircraft to the arrivals due to the poor government service of ACSA !!!
