How many times can one flight be delayed?

I was booked on a flight out of Johannesburg to Durban for tonight after 8pm. I received an SMS earlier in the day to say there was a delay, the flight would leave at 8:50pm. Ok..about 30min difference, I can deal with it. Later I received another SMS, the flight would leave at 10:45. That's pretty late but ok. I received another SMS for yet another delay - 11:35. So the SMS ends off with a number you can call...but obviously there's no one to answer your call. So no explanation for the delays..no call to find out if you as a passenger are okay or if you just sitting at the airport. So who do you call? Does kulula give a damn about their passenger safety? BIG FAT NO! So thank you kulula for the worst service ever and for SMS'ing instead of calling. Thank you for thinking about those travelling for work purposes...big thumbs up! #soangry

Hello Lesley17,

Thank you for your post.

I apologise for the inconvenience when your booked flight MN625/18 February experienced a delay. The main reason for the delay was due to the weather conditions in Johannesburg. The aircraft was waiting for clearance at King Shaka International Airport and was further delayed upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport-thus the reason for the sending of multiple notifications in order to update the customer.

Regards.

David
