How do you cancel a flight and not tell passengers

Bought tickets for jhb to durban for ironman this weekend. Never received any confirmation. I call in today only to be told our return flight has been cancelled. Due to a security risk. But they have put us on a much later flight. I received NO notification what so ever! This is beyond terrible service. We are now only getting home at a ridiculous hour. People book flights at times offered because it suits them, only to have Kulula change it at will. The very late night flight is much cheaper I do hope that you are going to reimbuse my Fiance and myself. Never mind that some people unlike kulula staff actually work for a living and have work the following morning. last week my flight from CT was delayed by 3 hours, again no notification and even more pathetic service from the ladies at the gate who did not bother to give us an update once. Fail on all levels.

Hello Poohbear,

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We try to avoid making any alterations to our timetable although it is sometimes unavoidable in the airline industry. I can assure you that any flight schedule changes are a complex matter and any decision to alter them is taken only after several important issues are considered and resolved.

I am disappointed that you were not notified about the schedule change which is 25mins later than your originally booked flight in advance. This matter will be addressed. Please call our Contact Centre on *** to check for a more suitable available flight time. Unfortunately we are unable to reimburse you for this flight.

I am sorry about your flight delay experienced last week. MN106/24Jul was delayed due to rotational reasons. Any delays to our schedule due to factors within our control are only imposed when absolutely necessary as it has a business impact on us as well. Although it was not the intention of the ground staff to cause any inconvenience, from a passenger experience perspective, I can understand your dissatisfaction and this too will be addressed.

Yours Sincerely,
Nazley Samuels
