Frustration and disgrace
<p>Last week saturday the 22 July 2017 at 7:15am I got to the airport in Cape town, ready to board to JHB at 8:15 flight.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was 33 weeks pregnant and had a letter from the doctor confirming the weeks and my fitness to fly.</p> <p> </p> <p>A lady on the counter by the name of Roxanne Sennekal was clueless about pregnancy rule and told me I cannot fly when over 23 weeks, and unprofessionally left to look for her supervisor leaving me hanging there.</p> <p> </p> <p>The supervisor by the name of Aldre Robertson came and told me that i must have mistaken their airline with another airline so i must try the other airlines because with kulula I cannot fly when over 28 weeks, he was very rude and then walked away, telling me to check others, I then told him that I called their call centre and I was told that its up to 36 weeks with a doctors note, he brushed me off and left, saying that it cant be...</p> <p> </p> <p>He left me there, unattended, standing for more than 30 minutes in my condition, frustrated as I must get home to give birth at home...</p> <p> </p> <p>I then opened their kulula website and found that it states what i was told on the call centre, I then told the consultant Roxanne that the website does not say 23 or 28 like she and the manager have been saying, she then politely called that Aldre to inform him about the website...he then said he will check their policy...</p> <p> </p> <p>I stood there wondering where I possibly fit in with their work policy as that is for staff and irrelevant for clients, he kept checking their policies until another man whom I dnt knw told Roxanne that it is indeed 36 so they can allow me to fly...</p> <p> </p> <p>10 minutes before the flight departed i checked in and had to rush to the plane and Aldre was still checking the policy and never came back...</p> <p> </p> <p>I did not even get a single apology from anyone for the frustration and humiliation by Kulula staff members.</p> <p> </p> <p>The staff members were very rude, especially the Aldre supervisor who probably undermined me for some reason and did not think I mattered...</p> <p> </p> <p>I am very dissapointed with the airline to hire such incompetant staff that are not updated about their company website or rules applicable and im shocked how people would treat another human being like that especially pregnant...</p>
