Flight Change Ripoff Charged over R1200 for change

The flight I had originally booked was R591,52 operated by Comair branded by Kulula. Upon searching for a suitable replacement flight, I found a R579,72 flight operated by Comair branded by British Airways. Needless to say, I was relieved that it was a lower fare as that would mean I need not pay a fare difference and only the change fee of R342. I was however alarmed to note that the online \manage booking"portal had quoted me a whopping R1252"
