On the 1st Apr 2015 I logged onto [URL Removed] and booked flights from JHB to CT on the 30th Dec, Back on the 11th Jan 2016 for my family. But before I booked I called Kulula and spoke to a consultant as we were pregnant, and the baby would be born end of Oct 2015. She said no problem book the flights and when the baby arrives just call us and add the baby to the flight, no problem. She said, \only cost of R150 for the pram and car seat to fly with us and no additional flight costs because the baby will sit on moms lap and not take up a seat". I phoned on Wed the 11th Nov to add Lexi to our flight and was told this will cost R848!! My ticket only cost R1200 return!!!! The lady (Bianca) says its a BA flight not Kulula... I logged onto Kulula not BA. I paid Kulula not BA. My invoice from Kulula not BA. I will board a branded Kulula Plane not a white plane with black & red branded BA!!! They promised to call me back... Still waiting. I have called them back 4 time tallying up 55mins in call charges. Now they say Its 10% of the ticket price plus the fuel levy to get the price of R848. But If I was on a kulula flight it would cost an extra R150 per flight... How is this right."""

I do apologise for your frustration in this regard . I have had a look at your booking and it seems that when the booking was made in April, BA flights were selected . Although the booking was made on the kulula.com website, the marketing carrier , you had selected BA as the operating carrier . In this regard , all BA fare rules would be applicable to the ticket and not the kulula fare rules. The breakdown of the fare for an infant is as follows : Base fare : R40.00 Taxes : R384.32 Total for one sector : R424.32 . For a return ticket for an infant based on the exchange rate and the fare purchased , the infant ticket would be R848.64 . Kindly note the fuel surcharge is calculated in USD and then converted to ZAR .
On the day of departure , you will board a BA aircraft flying the BA colours , you will checkin at the BA counter , on board the BA staff in the BA livery will attend to you and you will be served a meal prepared by our catering team . Please be assured your complaint was well received as we recognize that quality customer service is essential to the continued success of our company.
