Emergency change of tickets

We bought our return tickets in May 2016 to Cape Town on Flight MN103 on the 4th of September 2016. Our PNR number is RDEEOQ.

The morning of 4 September burglers broke into my home while I was sleeping. My computor, iPad and other expensive possesions were ****** and I had to wait for the police so that they could inspect my home for fingerprints and give me a case number which I need for insurance purposses. A case cannot be opened without me being there personaly I had to stay till the police arrived.

We phoned and was plainly told that nothing could be done but that we had to buy 2 new tickets for the later flight at 15:55 which cost us R3840.80 oneway to Cape Town. This was more than what we paid for our tickets in the first place which were return tickets.

We explained that we would give them proof of the time the police was at my house and that we could not possibly make the booked flight. They were addament and did not even try to help us. The SAPS Lyttleton Police Station, Const PSK Nkoana gave us the case number CAS66/11/2016. I can also send the statement I gave with the signatures of Const Nkoana , myself and the other officer present with the time the statement was taken.

If this is the way Kulula handles their customers who had no other choice than to exchange a flight in an emergency. I certainly will not use Kulula again because being pensioners one never knows what could happen.

I have been flying with Kulula for many years every November as I have timeshare in Cape Town. I was really disgusted with the way I was treated. I also fly to Durban once a year for timeshare in the Umhlanga Sands.

I hope Kulula will respond so I can regain my trust in the airline to book my tickets in the future.
