I am disgusted by the unprofessional service and the unwillingness to assist from KULULA.COM. I was meant to fly out on a Friday night and i was there an hour and a half early. I stood in the queues as i had already checked in online and when i approached the counter i walked through with 1 bag. This to me was a piece that i was going to be boarding as hand luggage. The lady had asked me 2 questions and none of them was the regarding to the size of my bag.
After a delayed flight i was eventually reay to board and at the gate they asked me to step aside due to me having a bag that was larger than the normal allowed size. i tried to explain that i did not know about the size limit and asked if there was anything that they could do to help. They insisted that i should have checked the bag in and that i would have been told by the lady at reception if i had told her. I tried explaining that i did have the bag with me and that i did not think to check it in due to me not needing to check just 1 bag in. I would have if i was told that i had to.
When 1 of the staff tried to radio in the controller, the lady on the other side said "the customer is wasting my time and inconveniencing my job and for that i will not help him". Is this what this has come to where we as consumers have no rights when we purchase things? I was taken off my flight, asked to book a new flight which was the next day only, was told that they will investigate and get back to me and up till now nothing!!!!!!! I had to spend R750 in Uber rides, and a further R1000 to get a new flight. I had missed the main function that i was going to where my presence was needed and further more nobody cares to reimburse me for my hassles.
It is unacceptable that these individuals can treat us like this. We are human beings and we are South African citizens. Through all the checkpoints not 1 person employed there could have told me that i needed to check in my bag? Yet i was told that it is my problem if i didnt check it in. I honestly did not know and i would have gladly checked it in if i was told to do so by the lady at the counter.
Utterly disgusted by KULULA!!!
