Cost of changing flight times is outrageous

Hi <br> <br> We travelled (party of 3) to Cape Town from Lanseria on 24th September and back on the 28th September.<br> <br> The prices for the 3 tickets were R7,500 which I felt was a bit steep but comfortable with.<br> <br> We wanted to change flight times and I was quoted a further R3,600 per ticket, I.e an extra R10,800. Of course no one in there right minds can agree to such outrageous pricing for this. In the past it was much easier to change times and there would be a minimal cost associated.<br> <br> I have spoken to a travel agent who told me had I not booked online she could have gotten me slightly better prices and also travel agents never get charged such atrocious charges for changing flight times.<br> <br> This now raises the question of why have an online service, unless it's to be ripped of directly by the airlines as they cannot ******* the travel agents.<br> <br> I would have expected the opposite, that online bookings, should be cheaper and the service given better and more flexible that going via a third party such as a travel agent.<br> <br> If I do ever fly with [URL Removed] again, it will be via a travel agent and not online which is a total rip-off.
