We were a group of 8 passengers travelling on Flight MN635 from OR Tambo to Durbs - (Sunday 2 Oct, 16.55)

The check in staff were very rude but we overlooked that.

We had 7 pieces of luggage to check in. The first few were way under 20kg. The 6th piece weighed between 22 and 23 kg. The clerk asked us to remove items and we obliged.

The last piece weighed between 23 and 24kg. We again removed some items and put it back on the scale. The scale gave the same reading. I then noticed that the previous bag was not moved completely away from the scale, and was slightly wedged on it - thus giving a higher reading. I pointed it out to the clerk who refused to accept what I had to say. I then put the bag on the scale alongside and showed him that it weighed 20kg.

He told me to put it back on his scale where it again gave the higher reading. He still remained stubborn and refused to move the other bag away. We lost our cool and a nasty altercation ensued. An employee, Mr Clive V/D Berg, came along. saw what was happening and had the clerk taken away.

It seems as if the check in staff at Kulula are upto some tricks.
