Cancelled Ticket Without Communication
Dear Kulula,
I arrived at Durban King Shaka this morning to discover my flight had been cancelled as I missed my first leg of the ticket. I have three issues with this: 1. If my flight has been cancelled you should notify me via email or sms. You send me information every single day but and important issue such as you cancelling my flight you don't communicate with me. 2. I have paid for two tickets that I did not use. a.You have received airport taxes on both tickets that I did not use b. Your flight that you cancelled me on was overbooked, so I could not get on that flight and had to pay 3x my original ticket price on another Airline. My seat that was cancelled you have sold to another passenger, you sold one seat twice. 3. Other airlines do not have the same policy you do regarding missing the first leg results in cancelling of their second leg. If a flight is cancelled you should communicate that with your passenger, you have email and cell numbers. You have benefitted financially from this policy and I can see how notifying the passenger early is not in your financial interest and I believe that to be ********* and unacceptable.
I am interested to hear your response in order for me to determine how far I need to take this in my future steps.
