6-8 weeks for a refund - really????

I booked a flight with Kulula but unfortunately had to cancel due the fact that I landed up in hospital for and emergency operation and clearly was unable to fly. We then contacted Kulula to get a refund and supp**** them with all the necessary documentation that they requested. They then came back to us saying that this has been submitted to the refund department and would take 6-8 weeks before we got our refund back. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. I got my passport within 3 weeks.....does not make sense.<br> I then contacted Kulula to say that I needed to fly again and could they not use the refund for this flight. I have still not had a response from them (2 weeks later). I am truly disappointed so booked my flight with another airline instead. <br> I always flew Kulula locally now I will rather pay little extra and go to another airline. All I want to know is WHY it takes so long
