Warning to Recruiters!!

Recruiters you need to be aware that this is a company not worth your time and resources. I was contacted by them a few months ago regarding a long list of vacancies they had available (and I mean, a loooooong list of vacancies). After sending them a great deal of resumes, they advised me that these vacancies are mostly for tenders and we will probably never get feedback on the candidates sent. I advised them that this is not acceptable as we as recruiters only work positions that are active and that we can obviously place candidates in. So they sent me alternative vacancies to work (which I did) and I received some interviews.

Shortly after that I placed a candidate with them and he started 2 weeks later. I then sent the invoice on the 2nd of April 2024 and by the 6th (when the payment was due), I still had no indication on when the payment will be made. By the next week, after sending multiple mails and leaving multiple messages with reception for Kevin Chipeta (Director), he eventually sent me a short and simple mail to advise me that (even after agreeing and signing my terms), the fee of R24120 was too much and he can offer me R300 per month for 12 months as a payment - which was absolutely ridiculous! I advised him that this was not acceptable and reminded him about the terms he signed (not to long before the placement was made), but he basically said that is what he can offer and to "take it or leave it".

I then got my legal representative involved and a demand letter was sent. But after multiple e-mails and messages left with reception, he is ignoring them as well.

He also threatened to end my candidate's contract with immediate effect and I advised him that if he does that, I will assist the candidate with CCMA and my legal team as this would be unfair dismissal on his behalf. My candidate is still very happy there and do not wish for him to miss out on the opportunity.

But please beware! These people talk big but nothing ever happens and now they are sitting with all the resumes I sent them as well. I will surely let my legal team take this even further and will be sure to protect my candidate and the other candidates I sent them all the way.
