EXCESSIVE VET CHARGES

I made an appointment for my mother's dog to go and have her nails clipped. I mentioned that she is a senior citizen (93 years old) and receiving a minimal pension. I was told the cost would be R75. At no stage was I told that if the nails were ingrown she would pay more etc. Firstly the vet was unfriendly which I didn't appreciate!! Then because two nails were slightly ingrown my mother had to pay a bill in excess of R180 for not even 5 minutes work!! I had to hold the dog, he didn't even have an assistant to help him!! At Tygerberg Animal Hospital my mom would have paid R90, they would have taken the dog without me having to hold her and would have been a LOT friendlier!! Trying to save my mom a few rand cost us a lot more in the end!! Let's not support excessive charges when there are other better options out there.
