Kuhn Machines - STAY away!!!

Dear Grant & Bernadette ***ners of Kuhn Machines),

I would like to make our experience with Kuhn Machines public, to warn other potential buyers about the bad service we received and the foul taste you left in our mouths. We are extremely unhappy to be part of the Kuhn Machines family & regret the day we ordered our machine.

On 23 April 2019 we ordered our CNC machine. On 24 April the full payment was made. On 29 April I followed up via whatsapp if you could confirm our order, no response. Then a phone call, where you requested to send an email. 30 April you rep****, you had a death in the family and where you allegedly emailed an updated Invoice reflecting payment (to date we still haven't received this email). You also confirmed the parts was ordered and you are awaiting delivery. On 12 May I sent another whatsapp, asking to give an update, again no reply. Tried phoning, not answering. So I got Grant's number from your older adverti*****ts on Facebook. Where he explained to me that the Company who does your powder coating's machine broke down, which I can understand. You asked that I should follow up a week later, so again I messaged on 20 May, no reply. 22nd May, Grant rep****, said he did explain and also requested I should not use this number to follow up, it's not used for business anymore. 28 May, I sent a whatsapp to Bernadette's phone, n reply. I sent another whatsapp on 3 June, the number goes directly to voicemail, I threatened to review them on Facebook, but to my surprise they blocked me from their Facebook page, I cannot comment or share anything. I also informed you that 4 June it will be 28 working days since our payment & still no CNC. Then I received a forwarded message saying you've been informing us via email and again you are at the mercy of your suppliers and you suggest I do not slander your Facebook page. I rep**** with a few interesting things I read on the internet, ie. "Our remarkable machines are built with locally sourced parts. You confirmed in writing that build/assemble waiting period is 15 working days, worst case scenario is 28 working days. Parts are available in South Africa. Machine will be available within 14 days. Training and setup available. Ongoing support provided. On 13 June we were informed the Production Manager, Grant is ill. Better update will be given on 18th June. I then threatened with taking this matter public, as we've been given an excuse every week, death in the family, Powder coating, the Machine's plates, SARS audit... Bernadette rep**** and CONFIRMED our unit is completely built, just waiting for a few electronics. You also informed us that you ordered stock directly from your overseas supplier and it will be shipped via DHL. Once the stock arrived, it will take 2 days to install, calibrate and test. 5 June I asked for an update. 6 June Mariana rep****, "We have feedback from our main supplier that they start working on our order on this Friday. We also have a back lock to catch up on and therefore I will ask the production manager to keep me up to date. You will then be informed. 10 June I asked for an update. Mariana rep**** "I will have more details later this week for you". 12 June I asked for an update, Mariana rep**** that you have a setback with your production manager that is sick. She will give a better update on the 18th. We were informed, SARS audit is still occuring, You ordered supplies from China, waiting for it to be send via air freight. Units are ALMOST completely built (however in earlier communication you said ours was already built). 19 June I asked for an update. Some stock has now been released from the SARS audit. There are 3 other orders you are waiting for and cannot specify which your supplier has received. 24 June I asked for an update, Grant's reply "I have sourced some more components but there are still outstanding on all the machines". I told you that my husband was retrenched in November and we are self employed. We are loosing income because of the delay. Barry tried phoning and you were hesitant answering the phone. You rep**** with "Can't talk now. What's up?" My husband took over the correspondence, again where you were talking about different parts from different suppliers. You apologised for your poor communication. We then decided to get a lawyer involved. It's been excuse after excuse, no answers confirming any date of delivery. They sent a letter requesting delivery within one week. 10 July, we received our CNC in a crate, no instructions on how to assemble, no software, left in the dark. I sent a whatsapp on the 10th directly to Grant's phone, no reply, sent the same message to Mariana, again, death in the family. Sent another whatsapp today to Grant, asking to assist with assembly, software and training, no answer. Sent same message to Mariana, she said she will forward to Grant. Still no Instructions on how to assemble the unit, NO software, NO training... all paid for.

Grant and Bernadette, I would recommend you do NOT run your own business. You are HIGHLY unprofessional, you lack communication s****s. I would NOT recommend anyone buying a CNC or any other machine from you. Your service is pathetic, not even to talk about the after sales support. We now sit with a machine that means nothing to us, we have NO idea how to assemble it, we have no expertise in how it works & we have NO software to run it on. It's a pity that I cannot review you on Facebook, but hopefully my post will be seen by potential buyers. Hopefully other buyers will do their homework before just paying Kuhn Machines 1000's of rands. We regret the day we chose you and your machine.

We do NOT consider ourselves family of Kuhn Machines, we will figure out ourselves how it works via youtube and the internet, but we don't want ANYTHING to do with you again. You should be careful of the seeds you sow... A man reaps what he sows

Hi Barry,

The experience you feel you had is so unfortunate and we would never want a customer to feel this way about us.

I am very pleased, however that we have managed to mend the relationship and that we are all working well together now.

Kind regards
Bernadette
