I purchased a brand-new KTM RC390 and collected it on 28 February 2026. This is my first bike, and I chose KTM because of its strong reputation, so I was extremely excited. I was advised to bring the bike in for its first service at 1,000 km, but I only managed to take it in at around 2,000 km. The bike was booked into the KTM workshop, and I collected it after one day. Shortly after the service, I took the bike for a ride. While riding at approximately 150 km/h, the bike suddenly lost power. This was very concerning and unsafe. I immediately returned the bike to the KTM workshop. The workshop later confirmed that the bike indeed has a power issue, but they were unable to identify the cause. This was extremely disappointing, especially coming from the same team that had just serviced the bike. It has now been 3 days without my bike. When I visited the workshop for an update, I was told that the valve clearance was too tight and had been adjusted. This issue did not exist before the service. I was then informed there might also be a problem with the injectors, and if they need to be replaced, I may have to pay depending on whether the warranty claim is approved. Today is 28 March, and I have only owned this bike for one month. Instead of enjoying a new bike, I am dealing with breakdowns and uncer*****y. This experience is completely changing my perception of KTM. I worked hard and saved up to buy this bike. I chose KTM over other brands because I trusted the quality, but now I regret that decision. At this point, I am not confident in the reliability of this bike. I do not want to keep a bike that is already giving problems this early on. I need this matter to be escalated and properly investigated. It is also very concerning that these issues started immediately after the service, which raises serious questions. I cannot afford to pay for repairs on a new bike for problems that were not there before. I expect KTM to take responsibility and provide a fair resolution.
