Pay back the money!

We were referred to KSW POOLS by the National Spa & Pool Institute (NSPI) in October 2020 when we wanted reliable pool builders around Middelburg. We contacted Kyle Watson, the owner of KSW Pools within minutes after they were recommended to us by the NSPI as the ONLY trustworthy contractor who could build us a quality pool around our area since they were registered with them. Kyle came to our house within a day or 2 to assess our site and quote us on the work. He said the work would take maximum 4 weeks and charged R75000 and wanted 80% to start. We made payment end of November and then his sick game plan began. He didn't submit a time plan as agreed and kept promising to start but didn't. He delivered bricks and then came to collect them a few weeks afterwards. Work didn't start until 3 months later, and even then he brought only 2 people to dig and didn't even come for supervision. He introduced his partner Sherice as his assistant and apparently she was in charge of the work plan and rubble removal. Still, many weeks later, there was no plan and the rubble removal wasn't really removal. It was relocation from pool site to the outside lawn. The rubble was kept there for weeks and damaged the lawn so bad we had to hire a gardner to try and repair it. Did I say that they promised the work would take 4 weeks from start to finish? They were supposed to start mid-December 2020 but never did. By end of March 2021 they were still digging and no progress. In April I came across a review of their business where it was mentioned that the NSPI had de-registered them after a number of customer complaints from Middelburg. When we confronted them about this, they told us they were sorry things didn't work out and would refund us. They promised to submit a payment payback plan but they never did. Many months later, we are yet to receive payment from them.
