Park overview
We recently visited the Kruger National Park, and what a disappointment it was. The state of the roads and accommodation is shocking. As regular visitors who love nature and wildlife, we’ve been coming to the park since the late 80s—sometimes once a year, or twice if time and budget allowed. But starting from the mid-90s, we’ve watched the park deteriorate year after year, and lately, it’s a complete mess.
While the staff remain friendly, there is clearly no maintenance being done on the roads or ablution facilities. The tents and rondavels are in poor condition, and the overall upkeep is seriously lacking. Park management, you are well-compensated for your work—it's time to pull up your socks! Don’t let this beautiful place fall apart due to neglect and mismanagement.
Even though conditions have worsened, we’ll still visit because the wilderness can’t be ruined by *********** management. However, it's deeply frustrating to see such a natural gem being tarnished by poor oversight.
