Spoiled birthday

On the 29th of September I bought a dozen assorted box at krispy kreme. When I got to the till point I was informed that I will be receiving a complimentary box on my birthday which was a week away because I bought this box. Very excited I drive all the way today to redeem my box only to get there and none of the staff knew what I was talking about until they had to go call someone first and then I was informed that I needed to buy another box first before I can get a complimentary one which is conflicting with what I was told. I wanted to buy other things also but left empty handed because I was so disappointed. My birthday was spoiled
