Karcher not honoring warranty
I bough the SC steam cleaner on 23/06/2023. The safety lock on it stopped working, the release mechanism that prevents you from opening failed. I returned it expecting them to replace the defective part since it is well within the warranty period. Yesterday they supp**** me with a quote, to replace this safety lock, they expect me to pay 74% of what I paid for the machine originally. This was the third steam cleaner I bought from Karcher and I’ve been using their vacuum cleaners, congratulations, you just lost a loyal customer.

15 Mar 2024, 10:31After querying the reason for the charge, I received a reply that the safety lock got stuck due to the machine not being descaled. This is just not correct, firstly since I bought the machine I’ve used it exclusively with descaled water, secondly the the machine was actively I. Use for less than 20 hours since I got it. Thirdly, I had one of these machines before where the safety lock got stuck, the entire safety lock is stuck and you cannot turn it, in the case of my machine, the safety lock turns freely because, this suggests that the whatever system detects the pressure in the unit failed.
