K 2.360 pressure washer dead on arrival

Bought a K 2.360 pressure washer from Builders Warehouse yesterday. Packaging was perfectly intact and sealed. Assembled the unit last night, and when I wanted to use the washer this morning it was dead. Nothing at all happened when the unit was turned on or when the trigger on the gun was pressed. Have read a fair amount of reviews about these devices from different retailers in SA and abroad, and it would seem that Karcher is no longer capable of making reliable pressure washers, with most units breaking the pressure housings within 6 months of purchase given that they are functional at the time of purchase. Ever heard of quality control?
