DO NOT BUY Kärcher products

We had a rep from Kärcher come out in 2018 to demo and suggest a window vacuum for our home. The Kärcher Window Vacuum WV50 Plus was recommended and we purchased that and the extension kit for about R1900 in July 2018. We used the vacuum about four times a year and in October 2020 became alarmed that the unit was making a funny noise. I called our local brach and they said I can bring it in. I managed get out to them and booked it in on 3 Dec 2020.

The next day they mailed me to say the unit was not switching on and can I send the invoice. I rep**** that it was working when we brought it in and felt concerned that it was not working now - worried it might not be our unit? I sent the invoice through on 8 Dec.

I heard nothing back from Kärcher Cape Town and assumed they must have closed for Christmas and were maybe busy and affected by covid in Jan. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I heard nothing the whole of January and followed up on 3 Feb 2021. They rep**** that the would check what happened and send a report asap.

Once again I heard nothing from them for almost 3 weeks and had to follow up again on 22 Feb. The next day I get a 'report' saying that the unit is dead, cannot be repaired, and should just buy a new one!

This is an expensive product and only lasted 25 months (about 8 uses). I would not recommend this purchase. For that amount of money this is not good quality - worst of all however, is the total lack of service I have received from the Cape Town branch.
