Misleading Company and False Interpretation

Please be aware of the above said company. We were ready to begin renovations with them, but they postpone appointments or kept quiet until such time we received email they cannot start our building project as they have an existing site with additional renovations and the one partner needs the other partner and teams. The one partner told us that his contractor cannot build for the said price but had been working for them for years, as the other partner told us he is not comfortable working with the contractor as they havent work with that specific contractor a lot in the past. So in between partners different versions or reasons. They also needs and upfront 60% of total project cost before starting the renovations. It also came to light that the one partner knowingly knew that funds of client is being used to fund other sites (contracts). I am really shocked how we have been handled giving our all efforts and support to start our project, just to hear all the time why they cannot meet our set appointment or site visits. The lack of honesty and even more so sitting around a table and a promise a start date, then dropped the client. Luckily we had not paid any funds to them as we investigated the industry and 60% upfront of project cost is way to much. We also wanted to add a clause that covers us as client, but was never an option on the contract
