My car nearly got ******.

I went to the mall on the 4th July 2020. It was around 16H00. I drive a Toyota etios. I parked in the parking lot and went inside the mall. I always check the door if the car is locked which I did.

As I walk back to my car I saw the security of the mall standing next to my car, then I realized the back door is slightly opened. They asked if the car was mine, and confirmed that the car was nearly ******. The security company saw the people wanting to steel the car, then the ******* ran away as the security saw them.

The car was opened, the steering parts were removed and left with wires hanging. I called the Sinoville police station to come and take fingerprints in the scene, which they advised that I must drive the car and come and open the case.

The car could not start but the security company assisted as the ******* disconnected the battery. I drove to the Sinoville police station and in the police station I was advised that they are not going to help me open a case as they currently have 2 stuff members who tested positive of covid19.

I want to say big up to the security company of kolonnade mall. If it was not for them, my car would have been gone. They were so helpful and friendly and waited there with me until a family member arrived. The security seem to be a private company as they have cars patrolling around the mall. All thanks to them.

The police are really failing us. When you call a station they even give you wrong surnames and if you arrive there they don't have such a person. More than 10 police cars were parked in the station as I arrived but I was told to drive a car that was broken into to open a case.
