Unsatisfied with lifespan of Kobo eReader
Last Christmas I received a Kobo eReader as a present from my husband. Up to now I've bought over 50 books from the Kobo online store for this reader. Now the device has suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason and no-one can tell me what is wrong with it. At the distribution point (Bargain Books) I got the cold shoulder as the guy told me that I should rather buy hard copies and forget about fixing the eReader. After spending about 10 minutes on the phone with an assistant at Kobo Customer service, which left me with the impression that I will be helped, I received a mail which told me that they will not assist me due to my 1 year warranty that expired on 7 December 2015. Any owner/manager with a little common sense would sum up this situation, see that the product stopped working due to some electronic fault on the manufacturer's side and replace the unit without cost. Needless to say I feel ********** and would rather spend my money on a different brand if the Kobo device only lasts one year and Kobo is satisfied with that duration - Unhappy customer.
