sudden memory loss

Good Morning

I want to raise a matter with the management/owner of the Knead Bakery - Wembley Square

We are a group of friends that regularly, on Friday mornings have breakfast at Knead.

This morning, we had to wait a long time for our food, and the one order was taken wrong - but that is not what my issue is.
The snapscan did not work - and when we discussed alternative method's of payment with the waiter, he Rudely told us that he does not understand Afrikaans and that we should speak English to him.

But he has helped us when we spoke Afrikaans, we even had long discussions with him - on various previous occasions?

We were quite taken aback but left it there and carried on among ourselves to sort out the payment problem (one guy paid with his card and the rest of us refunded him)

But when the waiter returned, he (and again Rudely) asked us if any of us can speak Xhosa - again we were taken aback and left it there.

But I just wanted to point out that among the people on the table we could in fact speak 5 languages , Afrikaans, English, Sepedi, Tswana and Portuguese.

And the fact that he is of a slightly lighter complexion, and that Afrikaans is still the language that the most widely used in the Western Cape - we actually thought we were doing him a favor!

We find his 'attack' on us unjustified and you will not be seeing us again.
