Cannot deliver on promises

I ordered Xmas gifts from Knapsak after seeing that they deliver between 3-5 working days. This was on the 20th Nov. Once i submitted payment i got an email stating that delivery is only done after 14 days. I contacted them immediately and advised that i needed these gifts before 5 Dec 2024. The committed to have them delivered before then. I started communicating to them two days ago to confirm delivery, which they ignored. Today i let them know if they cant deliver today they must cancel the order. Why do retailers make commitments they cannot deliver. They have wasted two weeks of my time, and now i must go look for other gifts with no time to spare. I am so disappointed.
