Today I experienced a discrepancy at Kliptown Traffic Department. I had booked to write a learner's test at 13:00. I had faith in myself as I had studied the K53 handbook and used the app on my phone as further practice to ensure that I'm ready to pass. I don't have the accurate number of people that were in the same room as me who were also there to right but I'm sure that there were more than 20 of us. Immediately I had finished my test, my results came as a fail. I Then approached the worker (invigilator) who was on duty throughout the test as instructed. I was done with my test When I got him, he asked as to what are we both(myself and himself) going to do as I had told him that I failed. I told him that there was nothing I could do. As far as I know, I would have to book again and write. I then left. I walked my way to the taxis and inside I sat with on of the people who were writing with me, a girl who then told me that she had failed as well and could not understand why. She then told me that as soon as she exited the room, a lady in a black suit (lady working there) did call her to the side to ask her if they could negotiate as to what to do from thereon which involved acquiring the learner's license *******ly through bribery. Another girl entered the taxi. She also said that she had failed and asked the invigilator to see the paper that confirms that she had fail and he refused and therefore put lines on her paper and told her to leave. As she left, a young man who had said that he passed approached her and told her that he bought the learner's license *******ly through a bribery of R1500. He then said she could pay R1300 if the previous amount seems a bit too much. He then gave her his number to contact him as he said to her that they couldn't continue the conversation at the department. Only two people according through conversing with one another had passed and one of them had initially came along with one of the workers. He was using crutches. I don't know the name of the invigilator but I can give A description. He is light skinned, a bit big boned, tswana-sepedi speaking and medium height with spectacles. I'm very disappointed with the service. Thank you
