MISSING GOODS

If anyone is considering storing their household goods with Kleinmond Estates …….. think again !! For almost eight years I paid Kleinmond Estates to store my goods. At no point in that time did they ask or tell me they would be moving my belongings to another storage facility. On D day 14th April 2023 I hired a truck to drive from Cape Town to Kleinmond to collect my goods (+- 2 hours) only to discover that said goods had been moved to another facility. As we began to load the goods I became aware that there were quite a few items missing and broken goods ? On inquiry about said goods all I got was a shrug of the shoulders ….. they did not know what had happened to the goods ?? I had just driven with a truck that was way too big for the items we loaded all the way from Cape Town ….. an expense in itself ! On 28th April 2023 I sent an email to Wilna du Toit (the person I had dealt with via email and paid for nearly eight years) telling her my goods were now in a storage facility in Cape Town where only I had access to them and was paying less per month than she was charging me ! I asked for compensation of missing goods and charges ? To date 28th May 2023 I have had no response Are you still considering using Kleinmond Estates to store your furniture ?
