Law Unto Themselves

<p>I recently did some renovations around my house.</p> <p>I unfortunately bought extra material and subsequently had no further use for it.</p> <p>I thought that seeing it was still in its original packaging that I would return it back to BUILDMART in Pretoria the very next day.</p> <p>However upon getting there, the manager duly tells me that they don’t return tile cement, regardless whether it’s still in its original packaging and/or unused.</p> <p>They don’t tell you that, at the time of you buying, because your money is more important at the time.</p> <p>This manager claims that “people” don’t keep material in “good’ condition and that they don’t want to take a chance on the contents of returned goods, even if it is only a day later.</p> <p>Yet they store their items in the open, exposed to the elements.</p> <p>They also have a general policy of not returning stuff and on the rare occasion that they do, they take 15% of the money – I don’t know whether this is lawful?</p> <p>The manager even dared me to escalate the matter to whomever I want – just like that!!!</p> <p>I’m profoundly disappointed and find this conduct totally ridiculous.</p> <p>I beg the questions, (1) How does KIT-KAT-Group Management operate a business when they don’t offer </p> <p> proper customer service?</p> <p> (2) What message do they communicate to their Target Markets, whom are</p> <p> predominantly black?</p> <p>I would urge people not to support this business.</p> <p>I need a Senior Manager and/or the Owner to remedy this situation.</p>
