Kirby-Marglo / Kirby-Rainbow

This man pretends to be a part of the Kirby Vacuum cleaner group by calling his business Kirby-Rainbow or Kirby-Marglo. He never actually explains that he is not in any way affiliated to Kirby. He collected my machine from my helper and left an invoice that had absolutely no information about his company whatsoever, not even his surname. The address on it was also incorrect. When he eventually called me to give me the quote to fix the machine, I questioned him on the details of his company and to please send me a proof banking before I consider paying the amount. He became very irate via text and proceeded to tell me how legitimate his company was. I then spoke to him verbally and he shouted at me and told me that I was stuck up and full of myself and was just creating unnecessary problems. I then told him that I wanted my machine back and I would collect it myself and he said that the only way I could get it back was by paying him the fees for collection and dismantling and putting the machine back together again. However angry i was about this I agreed as I wanted my machine back in one piece. When my husband collected the machine from his depot and paid him the R900 cash, the depot was an empty, derelict house. having subsequently handed the machine in to the legitimate Kirby dealership, they have quoted me a full R1000 less to fix it with no hassle or fuss. Be careful of this man.
