Expensive Poor Quality Shoes!

Kingsmead shoes clearly is no longer the Kingsmead shoesWe knew and trusted for best quality of shoes. I bought a pair of boots at Kingsmead on the 26th of April 2022. When I wore them I happened to miss a step and hit my foot on the staircase. The boots immediately got ripped on the top surface and showed a grey inner skin. Which was a big disappointment because this reflected how poor the quality of the shoe was. I paid R700 for these boots to be of such low quality. I was so disappointed because this is not the first time that I’ve had a bad experience with the quality of shoes that I bought at Kingsmead. I got to the shop (Gateway) I spoke to a Manager, Kelly is her name. She refused to give me a refund (I made it clear that I m do not want an exchange because clearly the quality of their shoes is poor and I no longer want to deal with them) she told me I should put Polish where there was a dent so that it does not show. I told her there is no way I am paying R700 for a shoe that I will have to polish just to cover up poor quality and this shoe is not even a week old and only been worn once! I still have not received my refund she advised she will escalate the matter to the GM and give me call with feedback.

In December I had bought three pairs of shoes to for my kids and one for myself, I wear my shoes to work only because I have I had bought them for that purpose the shoe was on sale and within a few a month of wearing it (and I was not even wearing it every day) The sole started disintegrating and I just let it go because it was over 30 days and I had bought the item on Sale and I just didn’t have the energy to go and plead my case with them.

This time I had to take the boots back because of the amount of money I paid! I am so disappointed with both of their customer service and the quality of their shoes. After this experience I will never ever buy from them again or refer anyone to them.
