Don't by BOOZ shoes or any other from Kingsmead

Between my wife and myself, we bought 5pairs of shoes from the Colonnade Kingsmead Shoes shop. On the 1st of June 2019, I bought a genuine learher pair of casual shoes of the BOOZ brand. I was told that it carries a 6 month guarantee if the shoes are not abused. I asked about the 'abused' term and was told some people literally abuse their shoes by not polishing it etc. Nothing was said about regular wear. This is why I bought the shoes, to wear it on a regular basis. I am retired and as such have c****s to attend in and around the house. We hardly walk far and as a matter of fact I only wore this pair of shoes once for a stroll of of about 8 street blocks. The balance of the wear came from in and around the house. The top part, which is leather still looks fine as it was cleaned and polished on a regular basis, but the soles wore away as it is of an extremely soft rubber. So last week, after three and a half moths of wearing these shoes on a regular basis, not everyday, I noticed the soles were nearly worn through, and I went to see the people at Kingsmead. The area manager was in the shop, Isabella. The moment she saw the soles she exclaimed excessive wear, and I thought, my thoughts exactly! The she informed me that would be the reason why she will NOT allow an exchange! First I was puzzled, then realized she meant I was not supposed to wear these shoes on such a regular basis! I have never heard of such an argument.... I am not a rich man to have a pair of shoes for every day, or would even that count as too frequent? She then explained I was the 1st ever person to complain about these type of shoes.... Again, what type of argument is that and how does that help me with the fact that my new shoes are worn through in three and a half months??? Why do people buy shoes? To keep them in boxes?
