The worst pie. Maybe ever.
Back in the day, you couldn't get a better quality pie than at King Pie. It has been a very long time since I bought a pie from King Pie, but today, purely because of the opportunity, I bought two spinach and feta pies from King Pie in Somerset Mall. I reheated them in an airfryer - and there is no better way to reheat a pie. What a total disaster! On both, the pastry was unflaky and and unpallatable. The filling was stodgy and unappetising. We got the feeling they were made a couple of days ago. What's happened to you, King Pie??? Bye bye King Pie. Forever.

Undercooked burger pies
I bought 3 burger pies today at cosmo city mall using uber eats and the burger pies arrived when i ate the first one the pastry is sticky , the patty is chewy like it is undercooked. I waited for the order for 30 minutes or so to get this. The entire 3 pies were undercooked with stick pastry and undercooked chewy patties. Contacted uber eats help only to get 47.58 refund on a R156. 42 order. No ways i did not even enjoy this i would have understood maybe if 2 pies were okay but all 3 were bad and i am here sitting now nothing to eat only to be refunded R47 no ways

Chicken pies with soya and no chicken at all
Absolutely terrible pies with soya chunks and no meat. I bought a box of "chicken pies" and to my horror found that they are not chicken but soya chunks inside. You should be ashamed of yourselves and refund me my money.

Spoiled-tasting King Pie Frozen Pies purchased at Checkers Gateway Mall
I am extremely disappointed and concerned about the quality of King Pie Frozen Pies I purchased from Checkers Gateway Mall, Durban, on 02 August 2026. I purchased the **Chicken flavour frozen pies for R144.99**. When I prepared and tasted the pies, they had a **strong sour taste that made them taste spoiled**. This is extremely concerning because the packaging shows a **sell-by date of 19 September 2026**, meaning the product was still within its stated date when purchased. This is not simply a matter of taste or personal preference. A food product that tastes spoiled raises a serious **food safety and quality concern**, particularly because consuming contaminated or spoiled food could potentially make customers sick. I have retained the **pies, packaging, photographs and my Checkers receipt as proof of purchase**. I am requesting: 1. A **full refund of R144.99**. 2.
