To the worst experience in buying a car in my life.

I wrote a good review for this dealership King of Cars in 8 Dec 2022. I had just bought a car from these guys, it was a BMW X5. Everything seemed brilliant. Unfortunately i have to retract that view. I had spent over half a million and was under the impression this this car was going to be great. I was wrong! Within a month the Air compressor failed while i was coming back from Durban. This put my life in danger. Still i gave them an opportunity to fix it. They contacted the AA Warranty and R23000 later it was fixed in Jan 23. Then within a month i could notice that the doors did not align and had this investigated, i took to another dealership. They indicated that this was in an accident. so i took it back to the dealer and they assured me that the car was still fine. Remember none of this was disclosed. So i took the car in Jan 23, then by March 23 i started to see other stuff going wrong. I took the car back. As per the consumer act, in the first 6 months, they should have either fixed it or gave me a full refund, i did not know this :( . Hence i am writing this review so that no one else should fall into this trap.

They kept the car for 2 months and still could not sell it. I had to take the car back as i had not alternate mode of transportation in June 23. By Nov 23 i had had enough and no other dealership wanted to touch this car. I had taken it to my mechanic for service the car and found out the this X5 had been in a major accident and the damage was worst that initially thought. He advised me to get rid of the car as both air bags had popped and one had not been replaced. This was the last straw. In order to get rid of this car i took another car from them so that they would take this BMW. i know not the best decision.

From paying for the x5 for 490K they only gave me 320k as a trade in. I had to refinance 70K extra just to buy this next safer car. So all in all i lost 210K from these guys.

Moral of this, don't trust any of these guys. Make sure you have all the papers for the car. Know what the consumer act covers you for.

Do not buy from this dealership.
