Most shocking hotel ever

We arrived in the afternoon of 27 Dec 2017. First thing we noticed was the shabby appearance of the hotel. Upon entering our room we found: no DSTV, only SABC 1, 2 (very bad picture) and E-TV. Not even SABC 3. The bed base was threadbare and uncovered. A room for 2 had only one coffee cup, and no water glasses. The wall plug on one side of the bed was not working. No complementary soap or lotion as is standard in hotels. The safe in the wall cupboard was broken. At breakfast the following morning (by the way the hotel does not offer supper) we found: a tray with cold rubbery scrambled eggs, a cold mix of mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, and a mix of cold sausages with onions. Other than that three choices of cereal. That was it!!!! We complained furiously, upon which we were asked to make a list for management. We were then promised improvement for the next day. Next morning we found that we had a separate room for breakfast assigned to us (we were 12 people). The same cold breakfast appeared, this time however with only 2 cereal choices. Then they brought a large platter of fried eggs which were also cold, and we had to continously ask for things, like butter, coffee, tomato sauce etc. After our return from a day trip our room had a fruit basket in it, suddenly there were two water glasses and two coffee cups, complimentary soap. The water glasses diappeared again two days later. Also, the little stand with the coffee and tea etc was not replenished, so after you had two cups of coffee that was it. There was no improvement for the rest of our stay, same cold breakfast every day despite complaints. The hotel does not have safe parking. Guest's cars had to be parked in the street with no security guard in evidence. The beds in some of our rooms were only made up in the morning when we asked for it. One day we asked for a change of linen, but only the sheet was replaced, not the duvet and pillow covers. In the end we were so disgusted that we left a day earlier because we couldn't take it anymore. They claim to be a three star establishment and charge R2000 per night. Absolutely a *******. The holiday was ruined by the conditions at that place.
