Extremely Disappointed – Ongoing Issues Ignored by Kinetic Wave Solutions

Approximately 4 to 5 weeks ago, Kinetic Wave Solutions, based at 86 Empire Road, Parktown, Johannesburg, was called in to repair my geyser. Unfortunately, instead of resolving the issue, they left the situation in a far worse state. About an hour after they left, water started flooding into the ceiling, ultimately causing the roof to break. My landlord had to urgently call another plumber to stop the leak and prevent further damage.

Kinetic Wave Solutions, owned by Nedzivhani Nicholas, initially promised to take responsibility and fix both the geyser and the roof. Since then, they have sent a team out two or three times to work on the geyser and it is still not functioning properly. This follows several months of repeated issues. In total, I’ve only had hot water for about 3 to 4 weeks in the past 4 to 5 months.

Regarding the roof repairs, they claimed to be waiting on insurance, and in the meantime, my landlord covered part of the cost to get things going. They sent people who eventually showed a week and a half ago to start the job, and again about 5-6 days later, yet the work remains incomplete. In fact, there are now more exposed gaps because of a unfinished job.

I’ve been forced to live in the kitchen/lounge area during this time, and I’ve now become seriously ill including mold poisoning and other symptoms likely caused by the contaminants from the stagnant water trapped in the ceiling.

Despite numerous messages and phone calls, Nedzivhani Nicholas has stopped responding this week. After promising the team would return on Monday, he’s been silent since Thursday before, and no one has arrived. Infact they were actually meant to come on Thursday but chose to have a half day and I was told at the last minute, all of a sudden they can't make it.

This situation has been handled with complete disregard for the customer. It’s especially disappointing given the fact that my landlord has supported this company with repeat business over the years. Based on my experience, I cannot in good faith recommend Kinetic Wave Solutions to anyone.
