Kilowatt Productions is absolutely terrible

My wife and I recruited the services of Kilowatt Productions for our wedding. That wasn't a very smart idea. The logic in our decision is that they provide speakers, mics, PA system, lights, etc. The walk down the isle and exit was brilliant. Perfect music timimg and the mics worked perfectly. That's the only thing that went right. We had a meeting with Kevin the owner, and explained that we are diverse families (Portuguese, South African, Afrikaans English, etc) so because of this we need a diverse range of music. We even provided him with a Playlist incase they get stuck. During the reception DJ Sipho played the same type of music until instructed to do otherwise by even the groom, guests. He abandoned his DJ booth for long times on end. They promised us a smoke machine which were never on. Lights that were only switched on later in the night and never even pointed at the floor. The sound levels were all over the place. DJ Sipho left before he was suppose to. The transitions (something a DJ is supposed to be good at) were so terrible that at some point we were thinking it would be better to just stop one song and play the next one.

After our event we communicated with Melissa regarding our experience and she was shocked providing me with stats, saying that this is their first negative review from all their functions this year which meant absolutely nothing to me. Which confused me more as to why she sent out a questionnaire and expected a positive review immediately.

There are other companies you should consider for your sound needs. Maybe they'll be okay for kiddies parties but don't get them for important events such as a wedding.
