****** and repairs taking way to long

Myself and my husband booked our car in for repairs early January this year at your above noted branch on Ontdekkers road for a Kia Sorento 4 x 4 Reg DY80BVGP that had overheated and blown the head gasket. Jakkie Louw, the service advisor was assisting us with this and assured us that they will get the car sorted out.

He advised that the engine parts need to be replaced which we agreed for him to proceed with and our warranty authorised their part which has been paid by them already.

After almost 3 months the car had still not been repaired properly and had to be sent back to the engineers numerous times to correct the error they made about the wrong rings that were put in the engine and other issues. We received a final quote from Jakkie of R40 745.88 for the total repairs and labour. On the quote the testing of the injectors was also done.

Jakkie confirmed in writing that there would be no further additional charges on the repairs. And that the total amount for the repairs including all labour will be R40 745.88.

He got a mechanic to test drive the vehicle and the report was that the car is running smoothly and beautifully and then he advised my husband that the vehicle is 100% and ready for collection but that he requires payment first. We requested that we test drive the vehicle first before payment will be made which he agreed.

My husband then test drove it with one of your mechanics on Monday the 8th April and again on Tuesday he said that the car was losing power and smoking terribly and he could not drive it. The mechanic was also surprised and said that they will have to look at the vehicle again. Doesn't make sense that the car was driving smoothly when your mechanic drove it and when my husband test drove it it wouldn't even drive longer than 2 km without losing power completly

Jakkie has now advised my husband that the problem is the injectors and will now cost an additional R6 000. The injectors were checked originally and no fault was found on them.

This branch has had the vehicle for an unacceptable period of time since January 2019 and it is now going onto May 2019 that is almost 4 months to repair a vehicle.

Myself and my husband do not have an extra R6 000 to put on this vehicle and request that Jakkie uphold his promise to repair the vehicle and get it running and reliable to drive on the road not exceeding the cost of R40 745.88 for repairs.

we have not heard anything further from Jakkie even though my husband has been following up with him

Terrible service and dishonesty from Kilokor as they just want more and more money for the repairs. I will never go back to them again!!
